Why yes, there is a political slant there... and a bit of silliness besides... but an excellent source of news links/stories collected from all over the internet.

Another good one: http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/

Again, slanted... but so is the mainstream media. I've found the best way to get a balanced view of anything is to hear every angle, and take it all with a grain of salt and a heaping dose of critical thinking ability.

Be still my heart!

Okay, perhaps there is a slant. But only because I'm still looking for all the dirt on the other side. When I find it, I'll be sure to include it!

Hey, I never said there was anything *wrong* with having a slant... so long as you don't claim to be doing otherwise. (The phrase "fair and balanced" comes to mind for some odd reason...)

Oh yeah! I have NEVER claimed to be fair and balanced.

You cannot fail to have a slant, it is an impossibility. Everything you do, say or write is biased by thousands of years of cultural development.

Very true... which is why I think the concept of "unbiased" journalism is, and always has been, utter crap.

So, I say: Be honest about your opinions and background, and make people stretch their brains a little.
