I've refrained from commenting much about politics lately ... really, it's all getting so absurd, and so unbelievable, and yet there are still people everywhere supporting the current crop of US Republicans, even AFTER they basically stripped the US populace of our judicial due process rights, while legalizing torture, in one fell swoop ... and NOW it seems Congressional Republicans have been sheltering a known pedophile in their midst ... and frankly it just all makes my head spin.

"But WAIT," says the Fox News devotee among you (pretending anyone of that ilk reads THIS site), "it's the Democrats who were harboring a pedophile in their midst! I saw it on Fox News, it MUST be true!"

Did WHO ignore Foley emails?!?!?!?!

No, really. REALLY. Fox News has ... not once, but TWICE that I know of ... identified Foley as a DEMOCRAT on screen. This can NOT be a simple mistake. Not TWICE. I can only assume the above example, as well as this next one, are attempts to once again use the tried-and-true propaganda tactic of, "repeat the lie enough times, and people will believe it's true," previously successfully used in such recent Republican stunts as "Saddam was involved in 9-11" and "Iraq had weapons of mass destruction," among others.

Please, god. Please, tell me not even the most devoted Fox News viewers are THIS easily duped.
