a worthy meme: the Jenga administration

jenga 9-11 memorialWell, Reagan was "The Teflon President," eh? And perhaps you're starting to think Teflon ain't got nothin' on Bush II. But I think that's changing... and I think a little shift in public perception may hurry that change along a little bit.

So, let's stop marvelling at how much crap Bush has managed to shrug off, and start loudly taking note of the chinks in the current Republican hierarchy's armor. This is not a Teflon administration, it is a Jenga administration, and it is starting to wobble!

  1. Bush is a liar. Two easy, headline-grabbing lies you can bring up in conversation: He lied about weapons of mass destruction. He lied about whether or not the breach of New Orleans' levee system was predicted.
  2. Bush is in blatant violation of his oath of office. Spying on US citizens without judicial oversight is a clear violation of the 4th Amendment of the Constitution, and he swore to uphold the constitution when he took his oath of office.
  3. "Scooter" Libby claims Cheney told him Bush approved releasing classified information about Iraq in the run-up to the current "war". At first, the administration was aghast at the apparent "leak" in their inner circle, and pledged to hunt down the responsible party. The administration now claims it wasn't a "leak," it was merely a declassification of information. Again, the president is a liar. And so are his henchmen employees.
  4. Tom DeLay resigned from his reelection bid, amidst charges of rampant corruption. The dirt flows downwards on Capitol Hill, and it seems to be pooling in Congress at the moment.

Just a few good talking points there, which are all readily backed up by major news outlets, so you can't be so easily blown off as a nutty whack-job conspiracy theorist. These are all hard-and-fast facts. Repeat them at will, cheerfully and loudly. Expose the administration's dirty underwear to the light of day (but for goodness sake use gloves and protective breathing apparatus)...

...Bush & Co.'s absurdly corrupt little Boy's Club will topple sooner or later. Every Jenga tower must fall, when enough pieces are pulled. So, let's get to pulling!
