What a &^%#^%#@$ week!

GAWD ... I was ready for the last week to be over before it started. First my old host goes down for over 24 hours, and I hear NOTHING, NADA, ZIP from the hosts about it. Support tickets? What's them? Are we supposed to answer these? *shrug* So, I go find another host ... highly recommended, etc. Dump a bunch of money into setting up a new account. Go to switch my domains yesterday ... *KABLOOIE*

Apparently my new host is having the worst bout of technical problems ever. And none of my subdomains are working ... and none of my email addresses are working ... all on the same day I'm supposed to be closing an advertising deal on this site, and getting an email about some land financing. And their support department is so busy, I never hear from them either. Until this morning, when one of their people called me, and helped me get the last few bugs on the account sorted out. So that's good. (And judging from the reduction in blatant garbage in my inboxes, it looks like enough spam bounced to get me bumped off a few junk mail lists? Wishful thinking? Yes, perhaps ... but a girl can hope.)

Oh, did I say "land financing"? Yes I did. In the spirit of taking things into my own hands rather than just letting my life happen to me, I decided to start looking for land again when my last deal started falling apart. And I found a lot. And I looked for some equity finanacing on my house to help pay for it. And I think I found that too. So I think I got some land. Still biting my nails about the financing, and I've got a wacky internet-driven financing alternative kicking around in my head that just might work ... so stay tuned for more on that. I might be running a sort of limited-time-only bed&breakfast/tour company if it all works out. ;-)

But, today it seems like everything might be sorting itself out again. So, onward and upward. After I maybe go out tonight and heave a big sigh of relief on the rocks ...

I had been singing a 'where oh where did mivox go' ditty to the distress of all within hearing, then wondering why you were mucking with your SSIs, and now I know: you didn't or you weren't or it-were-the-other-guy :-)

Your Cost of War Counter hitting 3 and 11 zeroes - that certainly should break something. Let's blame that instead of the poor Host. Of course screaming at techs and beating on SysAdmins with limp noodles is great for stress release. Right, let's blame the Host. (It's safer: I think you get under arrested for beating on Cost of War mongers with wet noodles).

On your behalf I crossed all my fingers and toes but they cramped so I stopped: best wishes on the new ads, new lot financing, new host, less spam ...

Smile, it's summer in Alaska: swat a mosquito.

Oh and thank you for fixing the bbcode formatting links: my mind must be full as they don't reside long. Need an extra googolByte of people memory.

Re: My campaign, 'Nisby for SERP One':
On her behalf may I suggest her very own subdomain (nisby.mivox.com).
'Nisby, my voice' reads great.
Nisby blameless denizen of 'rant my voice' not so good.

In other news: the 'Nisby for SERP One' marketing team is pleased to release the "Nisby Cheer':

'N' stands for Noble Creature,
'I' for intelligence high,
'S' for steadfast loyalty,
'B' for her barking cry: warning, scaring, bow wow wow
'Y' stands for You she loves so very very much ...
N-I-S-B-Y, rah rah rah
Nisby, go girl go girl go
Bow Wow Bow Wow Bow Wow Wow
Yea Nisby!

So, this post in particular seems to be attracting spam in truly absurd amounts. Comments off after this ...
